Our Mission
FRIENDS OF FIRCREST was established in 1978 by a group of dedicated family members and guardians of Fircrest Residents.
Our goals remain to foster and take action to ensure new or better programs, treatment, and benefits, for a better and more efficient use of facilities and living conditions for, and to generally promote the welfare of the residents of Fircrest RHC as well as individuals with Intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) in the community… and to foster cooperation between and to cooperate with, and to foster the transfer of and to transmit information to, from, and between Friends of Fircrest and any facility or governmental agency involved in any way in executing or carrying out existing or prospective programs and projects involving persons with ID.
We are an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 organization advocating for the right to quality living choices for all people with developmental disabilities.

We’re Enriching Lives
Friends of Fircrest Resident Enrichment Committee has been busy, busy, busy.
The Resident Enrichment Committee was established to bring more focus for our organization to seek ways to enrich the lives of each resident of Fircrest RHC.
Our Vision
The Resident Enrichment Committee strives to enhance the quality of life of residents by provising supporty for additional activities and outings with the goal of brightening their daily lives and bringing lots of smiles.
The committee helps to support the annual FunFest event, Christmas gifts for each resident annually, many music performances throughout the year, special holiday parties, indoor and outdoor games and much, much more.
In the past, we’ve provided funds for improvements to the sensory room, continued to support a variety of gardening enterprises, and many off campus outings.
We’ve provided equipment to improve a theater space with big screen, big sound, and lots of room for residents to enjoy the latest movies.
We continue to look and ask for ways to enrich the lives of the Fircrest RHC residents.
